The Church of Oprah

Hello All!

Here is the lovely deception I promised in an email. If you send me any feedback, it'll be posted here. I pray that you'd share this with other Christians too. I've watched some other stuff about this same thing- this "class" she's offering with Eckhart Tolle, and even some scenes from past shows- and it's all just so sad...

We need to be able to answer. It's just imperative that we as Believers equip ourselves to answer in such a way that is soundly truthful, loving and unswerving.

  1. This is ABSOLUTELY CORRECT! It does not matter what you think or "feel" about Oprah, she denies the truth and encourages people to believe in Satan's lies! Yes, its true and this video will show you this fact! If you are a professing Christian, DO NOT support her by buying her books, watching her show or going to her "conferences." I say this with apleading attitude so YOU won't be decieved too.

2 Corinthians 11:14-15 - ...For Satan himself transforms himself into an angel of light. Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also transform themselves into ministers of righteousness, whose end will be according to their works.

    Pray for Oprah's salvation...

  2. You can call her the devil all you want. I won't be offended in the least.

I can't believe her quote - "God is a feeling experience within you, not a believing experience." Poor thing... her world must come crashing down everytime she wakes up to a bad day. I PRAISE GOD that my relationship with Him is NOT based on my feelings, otherwise we're in trouble!!

And she totally takes the "jealous God" thing out of context. God is not jealous OF us, he is jealous FOR us and does not want anything else but him in the #1 spot because he knows that is where true joy lies. His jealousy is ultimately for our good!!

  3. When she says “she took God out of the box”, she’s really saying she took God out of the bible. She wants God to be her own “thing”… this is why so many celebrities embrace scientology… they’re so used to doing, being, and getting what ever they want that they can’t allow themselves to be restricted by a God. They either renounce God all together, or make Him something He’s not. Or they become their own God. It was sad to hear Oprah say that she got confused about “jealous God”… she simply didn’t grasp that God was saying He wants us to give our attention only to Him and no other gods. Wow, one moment of misunderstanding and she left just like that? She’s the “seed that fell upon rocks”. Pray for her, there is still time. :)

I am proud of you Emily! No one seems to want to talk about these things anymore… or if they do they retort. Stay strong and know that what you are saying is RIGHT. And people need to become aware that anything skewed from the Word, even by a little bit, is of Satan... And IS heresy. End of story. Stay strong Emily! Every word in the bible is ABSOLUTELY TRUE. God is pleased with those who hate evil and do His good will!

Proverbs 8:13- The fear of the LORD is to hate evil; Pride and arrogance and the evil way and the perverse mouth I hate.

Proverbs 14:12- There is a way that seems right to a man, but its end is the way of death.

P.S. YouTube is “the devil” too!… so I would see if I could get that video on GodTube with a disclaimer. That would be cool!

    Sincerely, and in support!

    R.S.

  4. If I could just will myself into being a good person, everything is ok. If I just don't think about the after-life, everything will be ok. I don't have to believe in a God, there is god in everything.
I only WISH life was that simple. It's a complete copout. Just because you don't want to believe something is true, doesn't mean it isn't. This is becoming so popular.

  5. I read the Oprah email. Before bible school I probably would've thought, "That's weird/dumb," but after all I've learned here it really frustrated me. She has so much influence on so many people who will just eat that garbage right up. The devil? I don't think so, but definately being used by him to keep people from hearing Truth.

  6. So let me start by saying, "Wow, I knew I didn't like Oprah, but now I really don't like her." I always thought, before I knew her beliefs, that she was self-centered and egotistical. Who else would have a magazine entitled their own name, or first letter of their name (even worse in my book, as if everyone should know that the one letter in the alphabet beginning with their name is obviously theirs). But I digress.
Satan is a deceiver. he twists truth and camouflages lies. He has taken a person like Oprah, who seems to have a good heart, and has made her a spokesperson of confused theology. What better way to keep people n the dark than to make them feel like they are in the light.
It is sorrowful to me that someone with such influence has been used by Satan to guide people away from the truth, but God is ultimately in control. He can use even her to do His works. We should pray, as hopeless as it may seem, that God might reveal Himself to her, and through her the light of God may be revealed. As for now, we, who are Christians, should be able to discern truth from lies. And it is my hope that God would rise up in us a warrior spirit that will stand against the darkness and speak out against the false teachings that are so prevalent in our society. Thank you, Emily, for being that person.

    Sincerely,
    M.H.

  7. My husband, for one, would agree with you 100% on your first statement. In all the media she appears to be doing good but washing down the gospel of Jesus Christ is wrong! And the Bible actually warns against it. Thanks for sharing....

  8. I've thought Oprah was the devil since about 11th grade. Glad to know someone else feels the same way. And now I have another reason not to watch her show.

I'll be passing this one along.

  9. Well done! It's good to expose angel of light deception to the true Light.

I'm no Hebrew scholar, but apparently a more accurate reading of the first commandment of the decalogue is "You shall have no other gods in addition to Me". Too bad Oprah turned to her own feelings instead of God's Word when she couldn't reconcile God's love with His jealousy. However, as creatures created in God's image, doesn't nature itself teach us that true love is jealous for the exclusive affection of the beloved? If you don't really care about someone, you won't care if s/he cheats on you (which is idolatry in a spiritual sense)! But we are the Bride of Christ! Our God is a consuming Fire, who offers the ultimate sacrificial Love, and is therefore impartial to no one. I've heard it said that the opposite of love is not hate, but apathy.

  10. I just saw that video for the first time the other day and I was pretty shocked. If Oprah truly believes that there are many ways to Salvation and Jesus Christ is not the only way; then I would say that Makes Oprah’s message a Cult with the single largest media outlet in the world in today’s accepted society. We should definitely pray for her true salvation and for the truth of the Bible to be known by everyone in her audience who is misled into believing any mis-guided message that there is any alternative way to heaven other than through Christ. Just my initial thoughts, but I haven’t done much research nor do I watch Oprah.

  12. I won't argue about the annoying moralism of Oprah, however, I do think its sad that she does more good in many instances than most Christians. Maybe her motives are not in the right place, I cannot say, however, I wish the church would take a cue from her and engage in more humanitarianism, not for the sake of just doing good, but because we are actually living out our christian mandate.

  13. (this is in response to the comment left by "O.G.")

That's so not the point!! Forget completely the "do good" mentality, what about the lies she is propagating on a large scale? My concern is for people who will hear the horrible false teachings she is endorsing, and think BETTER of them BECAUSE she does so much good. There's always more that any given person or organization could do. Her motives are absolutely NOT in the right place either. She has totally NO intention of giving God glory, or of worshipping Him with her service.

You know I argued in the past about "finding truth in anything"- that I believe Truth is absolute, and all truth is God's truth. So I can see what you're saying. But that's seriously not the point here... Sorry...
